Movie: Twilight (MANIA!)

Waaah! This movie leaves me breathless! The scenes, especially the ones with the protagonists, grr! Makes me want to grab Edward's head closer and closer to Bella (ha, and that's my daughter's name!)

And since it still leaves me gasping for breath, now that the Harry Potter fever was off, this one's on top of my list! Gotta grab a copy of those books!

Anyway, here's some Twilight stars!

Robert Pattinson as Edward

(BTW, here's a pic of him in Harry Potter as Cedric Diggory)

Here are links to his Q&As (as well as with other Twilight Stars)

Wordstress: Cable

What does it Mean? Slang used among forex traders referring to the exchange rate between the U.S. dollar and the British pound sterling. Because it is the norm in forex for most major currencies to be quoted against the U.S. dollar on a regular basis, "cable" is a commonly used term.

"Cable" can also be used to refer simply to the British pound sterling.

Investopedia Says... For example, you may hear someone dealing with the forex market saying, "The cable is up today," or, "The cable has been trending lower lately."

The origins of this term are attributed to the fact that in the 1800s, the dollar/pound sterling exchange rate was transmitted via transatlantic cable. Forex brokers are sometimes referred to as "cable dealers".

Financing Business Thru Credit

When I was still in a lending company, the usual procedure when acquiring housing loan is to provide the meticulous documents as a proof of you receiving an income bracket of something for you to get passed the scrutiny of the evaluator, as well as provide other necessary documents /actions for you to even qualify for one (which is to become a member of this company). In the end, there were some interested individuals who backs out just because they could not provide the specific documents, or because they do not have the patience to go through the process it would entail. And there were some, who opted to go through it because simply speaking, you can acquire an asset that you can use with installments or amortizations laid down as conveniently as possible (they have this policy that the amortization would only be maximum of the 40% of your net income).

On another perspective, I think it is so much better to get loans, especially when you are putting up a business and you have limited capital, because the loans can become your capital and the cash on hand becomes your buffer to whatever comes with that particular business. Like a friend of mine who have this small store, what she usually do is accept credit cards then use the balance in those credit cards as part of her investment to purchase goods for her store. So if you're starting, I think one particular good recommendation is OnlineCheck which can really help in cash advances, processing of checks and yes, business funding.

PetWave

Finally! Found a site in support of knowing things for our beloved pets!

Just a few days ago, my aunt and I were surfing the net trying to look for sites that can give us ideas on taking care of our pregnant dog. We don’t really know what to do with our dog and we thought that surfing the net would really help. Unfortunately, we were not able to find one site good enough to answer all our queries and frankly, there were too any sites there that is not just enough to cover our inquisitive heads. You can just imagine my delight to find a site such as Petwave with all the pet health information I want to know. See, added to my links!

All Around the World with James Bond

Another subscription of mine gave these travel pictures of James Bond, who is one great jet setter and ultimate gadget initiator. Here are some of the beautiful locations Mr. Bond was able to bond:

India's Taj Lake Palace

Thailand's Phang Nga Bay

Japan's Kirishima-Yaku National Park

Greece's Agia Triada Monastery

Kawasaki

One subscription of mine caught my attention. Since we are having an economic crunch, it is obvious that somehow, somewhere, people gets laid off. An article by Jessica Stillman have this title: Kawasaki: The Art of Laying People Off and I can relate to the two items below when my former company was streamlining, man, you can really see the disappointed faces coming out from the office. And yes, the productivity dropped!
  • Move fast. One hour after your management team discusses the need to lay off employees, the entire company will know that something is happening. Once people “know” a layoff is coming, productivity drops like a rock. You’re either laying people off or you’re not—you should avoid the state of “considering” a layoff.
  • Whack Teddy. Most executives have hired a friend, a friend of a friend, or a relative as a favor. When a layoff happens, employees will be looking to see what happens to Teddy. “Did he survive the cut or did he go? Is it cronyism or competence that counts at the company?” Make sure that Ted is dead.
The teddy thing made me remember that one branch said they will not accept outsiders till all the positions were filled from the inside, and here they heard that a boss' relative is transferring from a branch to their branch. Huh? I thought you just said 'no outsiders'?

Blog Sakong Frends

I'm currently updating my links here and one of it is putting my friends blogs. What I mean here is that friends that I have seen, talked to and been with, not just online.

Like Jojo, who I have the chance to become enemies with (we had a little misunderstanding before) and then became friends again (peace!) and not to mention, she helped got the OVP slot.

There's Tess (that I still feel ilang when I call her that) who was my boss and now my friend. Not to mention, became my classmate when I tried UPOU, later found out she's sooo cool to be with! Daming chika!

Then there's pretty Junelle, who was my former officemate too and I really like her levelheadedness and this offhand attitude that says 'Touch me if you can'. Ha! Really liking her elegance and simplicity.

Then there's Shieryl, who among them, I consider bubbly (glug, glug wine tinkling) with her infectious laughs and wit. I really miss this girl coz everytime she passes by OVP, nah, she leaves me breathless with laughter (controlled coz my boss office was just a few feet away).

Then there's also another bubble, hehehe, Bing, who is one of my fondest friends in Sarang, who I share most everything with (like toothbrush heheh ^^v), and I remember my mom saying she likes Bing because she's so funny (bwahahaha)!

There's Jenny and Wendy, who once upon a time, we were in one barkadahan (The VSpec Barkada) and I really miss those times I spent with them (and all our kalokohan, kaguluhan and katatawanan - where can Al, Fritz, Mei - kinsa pa ba tong lain be?)

Then of course I have to include Recel because she is I think one of the nicest girl online who spent time really to teach me and gave me tips on how to do blogging. Pretty smart too!

Then one final inclusion is Yenny. I really don't know her, it's just that I really am fascinated with her Creative blog and I really dig her style. Sometimes, I copycat too. But, she's Yenny.

So, here's the why and how I came up with the list of friends I wanted to be here, everpresent in my blog.

The Cheaper Way

I've been telling my hubby to subscribe to a TV Channel so that I can continue watching my favorite teleseries once I join him in Texas. He told me a better alternative with real time updates of the series being played here. Where? It's on Pinoy Channel TV. Checked it and yes, it's really on time.

My Bath and Body Works Favorites!

Just love these scent from B&BW! But I wonder where is the Blushing Cherry Blossom line? Can't find it in their site...

Eating For Your Skin

Now that I'm getting older, my skin is not that supple anymore. I've never had anything on my skin until I reached the age of 24, when I noticed that my skin was getting rougher by the minute. Uh-uh! Who wanted to get old so quickly?

So, I started putting products and testing alternative beauty secrets found in the kitchen for my skin, with once in a while facial. I know that olive oil is really good for your skin. It contains oleic acid which helps in making your skin soft and smooth. I remember a relative telling me to put olive oil on my stomach to lessen the marks due to pregnancy.

I've read too that dark chocolates and yogurt can do wonders on your skin, dark chocolates for its antioxidants and yogurt for its probiotics.

One favorite of mine is honey, which I think is a wonder food. Good for the hair, skin and overall health. It is also used in Ayurveda. Sometimes, when i have the time, i mixed lemon and honey and put it on my face, like a mask. Or I make it as a once a week dose for my kids and myself to boost the immune system. Plus, I use it a mixture to my adobo instead of using sugar! Really yummy!

BTW, I added a link to studies that honey really is a good cold and cough remedy! Just follow the title!
