A Needle Can Save a Life

NEEDLE CAN SAVE THE LIFE OF A STROKE PATIENT -
From a Chinese Professor.

Keep a syringe or needle in your home to do this...

It's amazing and an unconventional way of recovering from stroke, read it through it can help somebody one day.

This is amazing. Please keep this very handy. Excellent tips.
Do take a minute to read this. You'll never know, ones life may depend on you.

My father was paralyzed and later died from the result of a stroke. I wish I knew about this first aid before.

When stroke strikes, the capillaries in the brain will gradually burst. (Irene Liu)

When a stroke occurs, stay calm.

No matter where the victim is, do not move him/her.
Because, if moved, the capillaries will burst.

Help the victim to sit up where he/she is to prevent him/her from falling over again and then the blood letting can begin.

If you have in your home an injection syringe that would be the best.

Otherwise, a sewing needle or a straight pin will do.

1. Place the needle/pin over fire to sterilize it and then use it to prick the tip of all ......10 fingers.

2. There are no specific acupuncture points, just prick about an mm from the fingernail.

3. Prick till blood comes out.

4. If blood does not start to drip, then squeeze with your fingers.

5. When all 10 digits is bleeding, wait a few minutes then the victim will regain consciousness.

6. If the victim's mouth is crooked, then pull on his ears until they are red.

7. Then prick each earlobe twice until two drops of blood comes from each earlobe.
After a few minutes the victim should regain consciousness.
Wait till the victim regains his normal state without any abnormal symptoms then take him to the hospital.
Otherwise, if he was taken in the ambulance in a hurry to the hospital, the bumpy trip will cause all the capillaries in his brain to burst.

If he could save his life, barely managing to walk, then it is by the grace of his ancestors.

'I learned about letting blood to save life from Chinese traditional doctor, Ha Bu Ting, who lives in Sun Juke.

Furthermore, I had practical experience with it. Therefore, I can say this method is 100% effective.

In 1979, I was teaching in Fung Gaap College in Tai Chung.

One afternoon, I was teaching a class when another teacher came running to my classroom and said in panting,
'Ms Liu, come quick, our supervisor has had a stroke!'. I immediately went to the 3rd floor.
When I saw our supervisor, Mr. Chen Fu Tien, his colour was off, his speech was slurred, his mouth was crooked - all the symptoms of a stroke.

I immediately asked one of the practicum students to go to the pharmacy outside the school to buy a syringe, which I used to prick Mr. Chen's 10 fingers tips.

When all 10 fingers were bleeding (each with a pea-sized drop of blood), after a few minutes, Mr. Chen's > face regained its colour and his eyes' spirit returned, too.

But his mouth was still crooked. So I pulled on his ears to fill them with blood.
When his ears became red,

I pricked his right earlobe twice to let out two drops of blood.
When both earlobes had two drops of blood each, a miracle happened.
Within 3-5 minutes the shape of his mouth returned to normal and his speech became clear.

We let him rest for a while and have a cup of hot tea, then we helped him go down the stairs, drove him to Wei Wah Hospital . He rested one night and was released the next day to return to school to teach. Everything worked normally.
There were no ill after effects.
On the other hand, the usual stroke victim usually suffers Irreparable bursting of the brain capillaries on the way to the hospital.

As a result, these victims never recover.' (Irene Liu)Therefore, stroke is the second cause of death. The lucky ones will stay alive but can remain paralyzed for life.

It is such a horrible thing to happen in ones life.

If we can all remember this blood letting method and start the life saving process immediately, in a short time, the victim > will be revived and regain 100% normality.

Coast to Coast Car Shipping

Our very first automobile was an auctioned vehicle from the company where my husband used to work. It was really an inexpensive acquisition but the vehicle has to be taken from the company’s storage area too far from where we live. And that got me worried.

My husband decided to hire an auto transport so that our car can be shipped to our state, and I was concerned with the possible sum of money we have to shell out just to get it. Luckily, the auto transport we hired has a free car shipping assessment form online. I really heaved a sigh when the amount we have to pay out was just reasonable (my wrinkles disappeared).

So, our car got to us and I was really relieved not only because of the fact that it came but also because it exceeded my expectations (both with the vehicle and the auto transport that my hubby chose – the vehicle was satisfactory and the auto transport service was excellent). And now, my hubby opted to hire the auto transport company to ship a car he obtained from a different country (they’ve got international car shipping too!). Satisfaction guaranteed!

7 Ways to Develop the Winning Feeling in Sales

Got this from ARIVA! Seminar & Convention Organizers of Yahoo Entrepreneurs.

Developing the winning feeling of confidence is the first principle of professionalism in selling. Why? Because confidence in yourself will create the same feeling in others. They will believe in you, trust you, and have confidence in what you tell them.

Here are seven simple keys that will help you - ways in which you can develop this all-important winning feeling.

Key No. 1 - Build Your Appearance. Appearance affects attitudes - yours as well as your prospect's. Be aware of your posture. Project a professional presence.

Key No. 2 - Act the Part. Whatever it is that you would like to do better, act as though you are already good at it.

Key No. 3 - Speak Faster. Make a habit of increasing your rate of speech and take note of its impact on others. Immediately, you will appear and feel more enthusiastic and confident.

Key No. 4 - Compete, but Don't Compare. Build your own "game plan." Compare your life with what you ought to be.

Key No. 5 - Practice What You Do Well. Confidence flows best from successful experiences. Build on your strengths.

Key No. 6 - Cooperate with Life. Focus your attentions and energies on those things you can do something about.

Key No. 7 - Develop a Mentor. Find someone who will be genuinely interested in your success.

Put these key actions to work every day. Follow them until your selling style automatically assumes a position of confidence.

No matter where you stand today - Finish strong!

Hiding Sunset

I was in a taxicab when I shot this beautiful sunset along Edsa (I'm on my way to Mall of Asia). They say that the most beautiful sunset can be seen in Manila Bay, but I guess even with this shot, dear old Sunshine allowed me a glimpse of him!

World's Happiest Country

The rating now: Denmark is the happiest. That was what researchers have found out. Now, where will you rank the Philippines? Before, it was said that the Philippines was one of the happiest country/people in the world - where did it go now?

Here are the two questions that was part of the survey:

"Taking all things together, would you say you are very happy, rather happy, not very happy, not at all happy?" And, "All things considered, how satisfied are you with your life as a whole these days?"

What are your answers to that???

Part D Benefit for GrandMa

My grandmother is already 89 years old. I am, at this time, really thankful that she is able to thrive and still okay. Knowing the mortality rate at this point in time, it really is a blessing to be able to make it almost nine decades now. So what gives?

Well for one, she’s living a healthy lifestyle – and that’s very important. Second, she’s a jetsetter mind you? Traveled around the world, my dear granny and was once a beauty queen in her time (well, in the whole province). And none of us her grandchildren made it to being a beauty queen nor joined one! She, I would assume made so many things in her lifetime and I admire her for that.

Now that she’s aged (beautifully), there are really things that we cannot ignore when we get old, and the one thing that we made sure she will get is Medicare D Enrollment since it is quite important since getting old means taking more medicines. So what is this Medicare Part D? It’s in fact drug benefit insurance for Medicare holders. In our times when medicines can be pricey, such an assurance of being covered particularly for people like granny made it more reasonable, more so that there are companies who offer cost free comparison (especially if it's a Medicare Part D deductible). That alone is a big help, not necessarily to defray but at least to minimize costs. Do you have it? In this ever polluted world, this makes a difference.

Fast Cash Payday Loans

March and April - a lot of students will finally graduate and try to reach for their dreams, some may land with the perfect job, some will procrastinate for a while, some may still look and look for a job (if there’s one), while others – others will think of putting up their own businesses, which in my opinion is really the best option there is. But how can one basically open a small business when one does not have enough capital to start with? That is where fast cash payday loans rises, which Fastcashonline offers especially for such reason.

I’ve been through a lot of small loans in the past, and I’ve noticed that with Fastcashonline, the process seems to be easy, the funding is swiftly transferred in your account and with those two in tow, they really have excelled in terms of service, since I really have no qualms. Well, that’s just me. What about you?

Your Time

It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man. College, girls, career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop him.

Over the phone, his mother told him, "Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday." Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.

"Jack, did you hear me?"

"Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It's been so long since I thought of him. I'm sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago," Jack said.

"Well, he didn't forget you. Every time I saw him he'd ask how you were doing. He'd reminisce about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence' as he put it," Mom told him.

"I loved that old house he lived in," Jack said.

"You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man's influence in your life," she said.

"He's the one who taught me carpentry," he said. "I wouldn't be in this business if it weren't for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important... Mom, I'll be there for the funeral," Jack said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser's funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time.

Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time The house was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture....Jack stopped suddenly.

"What's wrong, Jack?" his Mom asked.

"The box is gone," he said.

"What box?" Mom asked.

"There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he'd ever tell me was 'the thing I value most,'" Jack said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.

"Now I'll never know what was so valuable to him," Jack said. "I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom."

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. "Signature required on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days," the note read.

Early the next day Jack retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention. "Mr. Harold Belser" it read. Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope. Jack's hands shook as he read the note inside.

"Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It's the thing I valued most in my life." A small key was taped to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Jack carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch.

Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover. Inside he found these words engraved:

"Jack, Thanks for your time! -Harold Belser."

"The thing he valued most was...my time"

Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days. "Why?" Janet, his assistant asked.

"I need some time to spend with my son," he said.

"Oh, by the way, Janet, thanks for your time!"

Continuing Education

Hubby was telling me about how he would like to get some continuing education courses if he ever got a time for it. I told him it would be a good idea to get some since education per se is an essential part of life, not only because it will hone skills and broaden your perspectives, but also because it will update you with the technology. Especially in his case (he's into engineering), every now and then there would be something new that will be introduced and will be applied in his chosen field. Up to now, he's still thinking about it. But I hope he does it - soon.

The Incredibles

You might be wondering what this pic was all about...lol. I just couldn't help but blog about this because aside from being my son's favorite animation movie, there was one time he explained to me (he's 4years old) why he liked the movie. I observed that every time he watch this movie (it was always on air in Disney Channel this week) his laughter can be contagious. Well, he may seem to understand but I think it's more of the moves they did (and continuous watching made him understand over time, I guess). He said to me, "Naynay, this is naynay (ganun ganun (like this, like this), tweng! Because the mother's power is elasticity), this is dada (his dad, laki laki (big, big) muscle!), this is ate kay2 (tago tago (hide, hide - because Violet's power is being invisible) , this is me!!! (Dash - after seeing Dash he would also show me how fast he can run - without moving an inch where he stands - wink2) and of course, to complete the family, there's baby Ouri (he would portray the baby with a shout since he saw that in the finale of the movie, it was shown that jack2 got the power of mimicry and he mimicked - no less - a devil). And yes, I also enjoy seeing this.

Printable Discount Coupons

Cost-conscious is one basic character that I, as a mom, must definitely have. It’s a requisite to balance the budget for absolutely everything – from the basic needs to decadent wants. And it’s very important to always be on the look out for promotional items. At least that way, we can still present small indulgence to our kids; especially when we go to the supermarket - the grocery list can become endless (if my kids are with me – imagine them wanting this, pointing that). Lucky for me I can avail coupons. One site that I am recently a member is the Penny Pincher Gazette, which is an online source for printable grocery coupons. I really like what they have for people like me, not exactly freebies but discounts of a wide array of products that can help minimize expenses incurred day by day – and food is definitely one of them!

10 Spots

As I took my life quiz at monkeyquiz.com, I found a nice site in one of their links. It started on 10 sensible weight loss, then 10 stress reducers, then 10 energy savers, then 10 ways to prevent cancer. Well, it's all 10. Check it out!

Piano Lessons at My Age

When I was little, I told my mom I wanted to learn the piano, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to enroll into one (we were very poor). It was really a frustration not being able to play the piano because I think it’s one of the best instrument ever made. But is it too late? Being an adult and with not-so-flexible hands, is it late to learn piano lessons & piano chords. I think I’ll ask Duane that.

The Wooden Bowl

I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now.

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in- law, and four-year old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table.

But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.

The son and daughter-in- law became irritated with the mess. "We must do something about father," said the son. "I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor."

So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl!

When the family glanced in grandfather’s direction, sometime he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.

The four-year-old watched it all in silence. One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, "What are you making?” Just as sweetly, the boy responded, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up." The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.

That evening the husband took grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

On a positive note, I've learned that, no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she
handles four things: a rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned that, regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life".

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone.

People love that human touch -- holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn!

***Remember God's teaching, don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you (or something like that...)***

Helpful Transport

Last year, the company where my husband worked had a bidding with the several vehicles they wanted to dispose. Luckily, my husband won a van from that bidding. The problem was that the van was in another place. At first, we sought the help of a friend to process the papers and all the stuff involve in shipping the said vehicle to us. Unfortunately, I guess, there was a misunderstanding somewhere and it never got shipped. We were already quite concerned with what to do with the vehicle because it’s been months already since the time we acquired it. Luckily, a friend of mine suggested a car transport that really worked. It was such a relief that the van FINALLY arrived.

Anniversary Blings

Yesterday was our anniversary. We would have celebrated it simply but his work prompted him to go to another state, A DAY BEFORE the important date. We just said our greetings and didn't expect there's more. He called me again and told me he was caught overspeeding. Then I called to tell him my laptop crashed and no way for me to restore it. My right eye was irritated because my son accidentally scratched it. I'm hovering with my little pc aka. SEK850i just to do this post. What a day - happy anniv loves!

Honey and Cinnamon: A Mixture of Cures

INTRODUCTION

It is found that a mixture of Honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases.

Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world.

Ayurvedic, as well as Yunani medicine, have been using honey as a vital medicine for centuries.

Scientists of today also accept honey as a Ram Ban (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.

Honey can be used without any side effects for all kinds of diseases.

Today's science says that, even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it will not harm diabetic patients.

A famous magazine named Weekly World News published in Canada dated 17 January, 95 has given a list of diseases that can be cured by Honey and Cinnamon as researched by western scientists.

ARTHRITIS

The pain should recede within fifteen minutes in most cases.

Arthritis patients can take one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder every day.

If drunk regularly, even chronic arthritis can be cured.

In a recent research done at Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon honey and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people treated, 73 patients were totally relieved of pain within a month. Mostly of these patients could not walk or move around freely, but after the therapy, they started walking with less pain.

Women who cannot conceive may take a pinch of cinnamon powder in half a teaspoon of honey, and apply it on the gums frequently throughout the day, so that it slowly mixes with the saliva and enters the body.

A couple in Maryland (USA) had no children for 14 years and had left hope of having a child of their own. When told about this process, both husband and wife started taking honey and cinnamon as stated above, The wife conceived after a few months and had twins at full term.

STOMACH UPSET

Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS : According to the studies done in India and Japan, it is revealed that honey, if taken with cinnamon powder, relieves gas and pain in the stomach.

BAD BREATH

People of South America:

The first thing in the morning they gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water. so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

LOSS OF HEARING

Honey and Cinnamon powder taken in equal parts daily, restores hearing.

Banana in Pajama

Grabbed this tag from Junelle and I found out I'm a banana...I like that!

You Are a Banana
You are mellow, easy going, and a total softie on the inside.
People find it really easy to get along with you. You suit most tastes.

And while you're very sweet, you're not boring or ordinary.
You have an attraction to the exotic, and you could show up anywhere... doing almost anything!

You are spirited, energetic, and a total kick to be around.
You're also quite funny. Your sense of humor is on the goofy side, and it fits you well.

The Probate

I was talking to my aunt just the other day and she was asking about probate. She told me that most of her patients who were staying in a nursing home are asking her about it. Hmm, let me tell you something about probate. Probate is actually a process that a court entails after a person dies. It involves proving the authenticity of the last will and testament of the deceased person, appointing someone to handle the deceased person’s affairs, paying taxes, appointing heirs AND distributing the deceased person’s property according to the will or, in case there is no will, according to the state law. That’s basically it. As I was discussing with my aunt the basics of probate, I remember a San Francisco probate attorney whose expertise involves this complicated process. She might as well check on this one because it’s near her place.

Dog Potty Training

Don’t you just hate cleaning your dog’s wastes EVERY morning to just about everywhere in your backyard? I do. I was kind of irritated to see those wastes that accumulate every now and then. I wanted to train my dog exactly for that. My friend recommended a dog potty that would help me in training my dog to potty in the right place, every time. She lent me one of her dog potty toilet (that’s what she wants to call it) and I was off to try it at once.

A few days after, I am convinced that it is actually better than pee pads (since pee pads sometimes does not serve its purpose as it is ALWAYS being bitten to pieces, sigh), it is easy to clean, no paw prints (since it keeps the dog from getting his paws wet from his pees) and – affordable! I’m off to buy one!

It's Beaumont

I've been to Beaumont, Texas since hubby's work permitted him to travel. And he really liked it that we tag along with him (which most husbands would mind). In many ways, it allows me to travel to different places too (one of my many dreams), even if it's only seeing places through the car window. It never ceases me to appreciate the scenery, even a cloud nearby phased into an art, is something I often watch out in our travels.

Beaumont a half and half. One side so vast with plain (as in plain) areas and some trees, and the other side some buildings and machinery. It was a rather plain view really, but what I appreciate about it is that it seems not yet citified. One of the many reasons maybe because there are areas that were devastated by the hurricane last year, especially Winnie.

Aaah, I'm a little sleepy. This traveling lulls me to sleep, lucky it's not too hot today.

Sport Picks

My hubby and I was having a very good discussion which sport we would watch. He likes basketball (and I do too) but I would want to see real real action in football and hockey. So we compromised to watch the finals of each game when it's near our county. I maneuvered my way to a site where I can find the best football picks, and not to mention hockey and basketball as well.

I read an article that says I would lose belly fat if I do 400 crunches a day! Whaat? I can't even get to 50 and you want me to go 400? But I do agree that water helps (although I feel nauseated drinking a lot of it not to mention instead of a small belly, mine seems to bloat from too much water). And yes, I think I really have to watch how many calories I take since this can really be unhealthy if taken too much (a.k.a. FAT). I don't want my belly to look more than it did already and can't imagine myself really big (my aunt told me to take a picture of myself at present time and wait and see what I will look like 3 years from now). Ugh.

Rainforest in the Mall

This is a fake crocodile in a rainforest cafe in Katy Mall. My son was really quite taken with the antics that the cafe made that he begs to be there everytime we go to this place. It's really unique because I felt like I'm in a zoo with these replica of animals hanging around us.

Copycat Bridge

Entrance as bridge from California Adventure

I was basically sitting on a bench near the entrance when I finally noticed that the main gate was a bridge after all. It was more beautiful at night with the lights on and it reminded me of the bridge of San Francisco.
